Medovara has grown from a single Stanford-area clinic into a two-campus hospital group, governed by one clinical standard and one patient record.
Medovara Hospital opened in 2008 near Stanford, California, with a founding premise that remains unchanged: patients should not have to choose between specialist-level surgical care and the continuity of a general practice that knows their history. What began as a three-physician clinic has become an accredited hospital group spanning general medicine, four surgical departments, emergency care and full diagnostic imaging.
In 2018, Medovara extended this model to Manchester, United Kingdom, establishing a branch office that mirrors our Stanford standard of documentation, credentialing and patient communication. Today, both campuses operate under a single clinical governance board and share a unified, secure patient record system.
To deliver safe, evidence-based general health care and surgery that is accessible, clearly communicated and centred on each patient's documented history and preferences.
To be recognized as the most trusted general medicine and surgical provider in the communities we serve across the United States and United Kingdom.
Clinical integrity, procedural precision and sustained empathy — applied consistently, whether the setting is a first consultation or a scheduled operation.
Opened as a general medicine clinic with three founding physicians.
On-site MRI and CT capability reduced external referral times significantly.
Added general, orthopedic and laparoscopic surgery under a single department head.
Formal recognition of clinical governance, safety protocol and documentation standards.
Extended the Medovara model to the United Kingdom under CQC registration.
Adopted across both campuses for eligible orthopedic and general surgical procedures.
"Accreditation is a floor, not a ceiling. Our clinical governance board reviews outcomes quarterly precisely because a certificate on the wall says nothing about last month's readmission rate."
Certifications are renewed on a rolling audit cycle rather than a single point-in-time review.
